The Sheriff's Office is the emergency communications center for the county. The Communications Center is in constant contact with working personnel of the Sheriff's Office, fire departments, EMS, and highway departments on a 24 hour a day basis.

The center dispatches emergency personnel and equipment to locations where needed and maintains constant contact with them.

Special Requirements for Communications

• Successful completion of a course involving the use of personal computers.
• Three moths experience in a clerical position which regularly required a candidate to use word processing or personal computer equipment to produce printed copy.
• Knowledge of personal computer equipment, operation and functions.
